Dr. Silvia Henriquez Gerken

Hello! ¡Hola!

I’m a bilingual clinical psychologist dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and young adults better understand their strengths and identify challenges. My goal is to provide a supportive environment where we can explore what’s important to you and work together toward positive change. I specialize in comprehensive psychological assessments, including testing for ADHD, learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other concerns.

In addition to my clinical work, I serve as an adjunct faculty member at Morehouse College and Alliant University and as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Oglethorpe University. I teach a variety of psychology courses and mentor students pursuing careers in the field. My contributions to the field also include peer-reviewed research and invited presentations at national conferences.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Florida and my master’s and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology (Child & Adolescent specialization) from DePaul University. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, where I conducted therapy and evaluations in medical, inpatient, and outpatient settings. After graduating, I held clinical positions in private practice and at DePaul University, where I served as the director of the Latino Mental Health Team.
